Hugh Maurice Good (29 September 1871 – 3 July 1941)[1][2] was a New Zealand rugby union player who was a member of the New Zealand national team in 1894. His position of choice was wing three-quarter. Good did not play any test matches as New Zealand did not play their first until 1903.
Good was born in Urenui, one of nine children of Thomas Good and Sarah Gates.[2] He received his education at Wanganui Collegiate School. A sister, Fanny, was a botanical artist,[2] and two of his brothers, Harry (a forward) and Alan (also a wing) represented Taranaki. Alan played for New Zealand in 1893.[3][4]
