Hunter Long (born August 19, 1998) is an American professional football tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Boston College Eagles and was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft.

Long grew up in Exeter, New Hampshire. He graduated from Exeter High School before doing a postgraduate year at Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts. He played tight end and defensive end in high school. As a senior he had 30 receptions for 508 yards with two touchdowns and had seven sacks. He committed to Boston College to play college football.[1]

College career

Long redshirted his first year at Boston College in 2017. In 2018, he played in 12 games and had four receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns.[2] In 2019, Long had 28 receptions for 509 yards with two touchdowns.[3][4] He returned as the starting tight end in 2020 where he had 57 receptions for 685 yards and 5 touchdowns.[5][6][7]
