Spiral galaxy in the constellation Centaurus From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

IC 4214 is a barred spiral galaxy[7] in the constellation Centaurus.[1] It's classified as a type SBaB galaxy.[2] It was first discovered in 1897 by astronomer Lewis Swift.[3] The galaxy is approximately 100 thousand light-years across.[3]
