ITV Opale

The ITV Opale (Opal) is a French single-place, paraglider that was designed by Xavier Demoury and produced by ITV Parapentes of Épagny, Haute-Savoie. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development
The Opale was designed as a beginner glider. The models are each named for their approximate wing area in square metres.[1]
Variants
- Opale 24
- Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 9.8 m (32.2 ft) span wing has a wing area of 23.50 m2 (253.0 sq ft), 35 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.1:1. The pilot weight range is 55 to 70 kg (121 to 154 lb). The glider model is CEN Standard certified.[1]
- Opale 27
- Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11 m (36.1 ft) span wing has a wing area of 27 m2 (290 sq ft), 35 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.5:1. The pilot weight range is 70 to 90 kg (154 to 198 lb). The glider model is CEN Standard certified.[1]
- Opale 30
- Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 11.6 m (38.1 ft) span wing has a wing area of 29.60 m2 (318.6 sq ft), 35 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.6:1. The pilot weight range is 90 to 105 kg (198 to 231 lb). The glider model is CEN Standard certified.[1]
