Gameplay

I Am Jesus Christ is played from a first-person perspective. The player takes on the role of Jesus of Nazareth, exploring an open world where they can perform over 30 different miracles, baptize followers, and fight against Satan's armies.[5][6][7]

Visually, only Jesus's hands and the user interface are shown on screen. The interface includes an energy bar (representing the Holy Spirit) that depletes as the player performs miracles, requiring them to pray to replenish it. The game also features various special abilities and interactive quests based on biblical events.[8][9][10]

Development and release

The game was developed by SimulaM, a five-person team[11] based in Poland.[12] SimulaM CEO Maksym Vysochanskiy stated that he originally planned to create a computer-animated film about Jesus before transitioning into developing a video game.[13][14][15] It uses artificial intelligence in its voice acting.[11]

A prologue demo of the game was released in December 2022.[16][17]
