Reception

D. S. Ramanujam of The Hindu wrote that "The undesirable effects ragging produces in higher educational institutions, mixed with a love story, forms the base for Pournami International's `Ilayaragam' where a tall newcomer Jothisankar, makes a fairly impressive debut".[5]
