Co-founded by John Paton,[2] its products include Hispanic newspapers, websites, and magazines.[3] In its portfolio, it has some of the most reputed news publications in Spanish based in the United States such as La Opinión and El Diario La Prensa.

In 2012, the firm was taken over by US Hispanic Media Inc, a subsidiary of Argentinian company S.A. La Nación.[4] In May 2022, four years after Iván Adaime was appointed CEO of ImpreMedia,[5] it was announced that My Code Media acquired majority ownership of the company.[6][7]
