The Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS) is an Indian non-profit industry association focused on the development of the digital gaming sector in India. It was established in 2018 by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).[1]

IDGS works with game developers, publishers, technology providers, and policymakers. It organises events such as the India Gaming Show and the IDGS Gaming Conclave.

The society was launched in 2018 by CII to provide a collaborative forum for the Indian gaming ecosystem.[2]

In August 2023, IDGS held the second edition of the IDGS Gaming Conclave in New Delhi. The event discussed integrating Indian culture into video games and the growth of esports in the country.[3]

In April 2024, Krafton India CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn was elected Vice President of the society.[4][5][6]

In 2025, the organisation welcomed the passage of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, describing it as a "defining moment" for India's digital economy.[7]

Activities

IDGS organises trade shows, industry conferences, and policy roundtables. Its major events include:
