Isoxya mucronata is a species of spider in the family Araneidae.[2] It is found in Africa and is commonly known as the Mucronata box kite spider.[3]

Isoxya mucronata is found in Sudan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Africa.[2] In South Africa, the species is known from the provinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.[3]

Habitat and ecology

The species has been sampled from Forest, Grassland and Savanna biomes at altitudes ranging from 416 to 1,507 m above sea level.[3]

The species makes orb-webs between vegetation. The web is usually decorated with silk tufts.[3]
