In July 2024, JCHX, via its wholly owned subsidiary Sundimo Mining Investments Limited, acquired an 80% stake in the Lubambe Copper Mine from EMR Capital. The remaining 20% is held by Zambia's state-owned ZCCM Investments Holdings (ZCCM-IH). JCHX plans to invest approximately US$300 million to revitalize the mine, including sinking a new shaft to access deeper copper deposits over the next two to five years.^[1]

The Lubambe mine, located in Chililabombwe, Copperbelt Province, spans approximately 228 square kilometers and includes a processing facility with a capacity of up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.^[2] As of September 2023, the mine's total resource volume (measured, indicated, and inferred) was estimated at 86.6 million tonnes with a copper grade of 1.95%.^[3]

JCHX commenced its first overseas operation in July 2000 at the Chambishi Copper Mine, providing mine construction and contract mining services for NFC Africa Mining Corporation (NFCA).^[4]

In 2021, JCHX acquired the Lonshi Copper Mine, located in Haut-Katanga Province near the Zambian border.^[5]

JCHX acquired the Dikulushi Copper Mine in 2019. Located in Katanga Province, the mine covers a licensed area of 68.77 km² and contains approximately 80,000 tonnes of copper. Production resumed in December 2021.^[6]

In November 2023, JCHX's subsidiary, Kingko Mining, secured a $194.6 million contract from Ivanhoe Mines to provide underground mining services at the Kipushi Mine. The contract covers operations at depths ranging from 1,200 to 1,590 meters and is set to run until January 31, 2028.^[7]

In September 2024, Kingko Construction, a unit of JCHX, signed a $76.5 million contract with Ruashi Mining of the Metorex Group. The contract involves segment mining and cutting operations, scheduled to continue until June 30, 2027.^[8]
