The company is a joint venture owned by the Moroccan state-owned OCP Group and the Australian company Worley.[2][3]

History

JESA was established in 2010 as part of a partnership between OCP Group and the American company Jacobs Solutions.[2] The joint venture was initially intended to support OCP’s industrial projects, particularly in the phosphate and fertilizer sectors.

In 2012, the company expanded its activities beyond the phosphate sector, notably through the acquisition of the Moroccan engineering firm Team Maroc.[4]

Following the acquisition in 2019 of Jacobs’ “Energy, Chemicals and Resources” business by the Australian company Worley, Jacobs’ stake in JESA was transferred to Worley, making JESA a joint venture between OCP and Worley.[5]

Activities

JESA provides engineering, consulting, and project management services, particularly in the fields of heavy industry, energy, and infrastructure.[6]

The company is involved in projects related to phosphate processing, fertilizer production, and, more recently, energy transition initiatives.[3]

Operations

JESA operates in Morocco and across other African countries, providing services in sectors such as fertilisers, mining, energy, water, urban development, transportation, infrastructure, process industries, and asset management, including operations and maintenance.[7][8]
