After not being selected in the 2025 NFL draft, Richardson signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent.[8] He was cut on August 26, 2025, before signing to the practice squad the next day.[9][10] On January 20, 2026, he signed a reserve/futures contract.[11]

Richardson comes from a football family – his grandfather, Rex, and his father, Bucky, both played in the NFL, and his uncle, Jeff Turner, played at Texas Tech.[2]
