Jacques Michon (12 May 1945 – 1 April 2026) was a Canadian literary historian and academic.[1]
Michon was a professor at the Université de Sherbrooke, where he co-founded the Groupe de recherches et d'études sur le livre au Québec alongside Richard Giguère.[2] He was the group's director from 1982 to 2006.[3] That year, he was awarded the Grand prix littéraire de la ville de Sherbrooke.[4] He retired in 2014.[5]
Michon died in Sherbrooke on 1 April 2026, at the age of 80.[6]
