James Doleman is a New Zealand professional rugby union referee.[1]

Refereeing career
Doleman began refereeing while a student in Dunedin.
He started refereeing matches in the Heartland Championship in 2014 and the National Provincial Championship in 2016.
He became a professional referee in 2020.[2] In 2019 he had refereed the final of the 2019 World Rugby Under 20 Championship.[3] He refereed his first Super Rugby match on 7 March 2020 in a match between the Rebels and Lions, before refereeing 3 matches in the 2020 Super Rugby Aotearoa season.[4] He also refereed the Championship final of the 2020 Mitre 10 Cup as Hawke's Bay played Northland.[5]
