James Kellett

James Kellett (born 27 February 1998) is a British racing driver who competes in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, driving a BMW M4 GT3 Evo for Paradine Competition. He is a four-time Ginetta one-make champion.

Career
Kellett made his car racing debut in the 2012 Ginetta Junior Winter Series for HHC Motorsport.[1] Continuing with the team for the following year's Ginetta Junior Championship,[2] Kellett scored his maiden career win at Rockingham as well as two other podiums to end the year sixth overall.[3] At the end of the year, Kellett returned to the Ginetta Junior Winter Series, winning all four races to secure his first title in car racing.[4] Continuing with HHC for his second full-time season in Ginetta Junior competition in 2014,[5][6] Kellett took five wins and six other podiums en route to runner-up honours in the overall standings, notably beating Lando Norris.[7]
Kellett then switched to the TCR team as he stepped up to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge in 2015,[8] scoring ten wins and eight more podiums to clinch the title in his rookie year.[9] Kellett then spent the following two seasons on the sidelines on financial grounds,[10] before returning to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge in 2018 with Century Motorsport,[11] winning five of the 14 races he started and missing the podium only once to clinch his second series title.[12]
After yet another year on the sidelines, Kellett competed in the GTA class of the GT Cup Championship in 2020, finishing third in points in a season mainly contested with Century Motorsport.[13] In 2021, Kellett returned to Century for another season in the GT Cup Championship,[14] once again taking third in the GTA standings.[15] Remaining with Century for 2022, Kellett switched to the Ginetta GT4 Supercup,[16] winning 12 of the 19 races he started to secure the title in the series' last-ever season.[17] Moving to Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain the following year,[18] Kellett won five times and took three other podiums to end the season runner-up to Adam Smalley in points.[19][20] In 2024, Kellett turned to ID Racing and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany,[21] taking a best result of fourth in the season-ending Hockenheimring to take 12th in the overall points.[22]
In 2025, Kellett made his debut in GT3 competition, joining Paradine Competition to compete in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.[23] Racing a BMW M4 GT3 Evo in the Silver Cup for his rookie season, Kellett took a class win on debut at Le Castellet, helping him end the year fourth in the class standings.[24] At the beginning of 2026, Kellett drove both of Paradine's cars at the Dubai 24 Hour,[25] and was on course for a shock overall podium in his GT3 Am car until a brake disc failure in the closing stages took him out of contention.[26] For the rest of the season, Kellett remained with the team for his second go at the GTWCE Endurance Cup, alongside team owner Darren Leung and a rotating cast of pro drivers in the Bronze Cup.[27]
