Jason Joynes (23 January 1970 – 18 September 2024[1]) was an Australian basketball player. He played two seasons of college basketball in the United States for College of the Canyons and seven seasons in the National Basketball League (NBL) in Australia. He also played 12 seasons in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL), 11 of them with the Mount Gambier Pioneers.

Joynes was a native of Adelaide, South Australia.[2] He first played basketball at age 15 after initially playing Australian rules football.[2] He played junior basketball with Sturt in South Australia.[3]
