Jawiszowice [javiʂɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in Oświęcim County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship in southern Poland.[1] It has a long history of coal mining that continues to this day. Jawiszowice is about 12 kilometres from the city of Oświęcim.
