Jay Smith-Sway (born 3 May 2007) is an English professional footballer who plays as midfielder for National League side Hartlepool United, on loan from Huddersfield Town.

Starting his career in Everton's academy, Smith-Sway joined Huddersfield Town's academy in 2024.[1] On 6 August 2025, Smith-Sway signed his first professional contract with Huddersfield.[1] He made his debut for the club coming on as a substitute in an EFL Cup game, on 13 August 2025, in a 2–2 draw against Leicester City which Huddersfield won 3–2 on penalties.[2][3] A month later, Smith-Sway made his first start for the club in a 1–0 defeat against Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy.[2]

On 26 March 2026, it was announced that Smith-Sway had signed on loan for National League side Hartlepool United until the end of the season.[4] He made five appearances for Pools.[2]
