Jayedar-e Shomali Rural District

Jayedar-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان جایدر شمالی)[a] is in the Central District of Pol-e Dokhtar County, Lorestan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Rahimabad.[3] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Valieasr,[5][b] transferred from the original capital, the village of Sarab Hammam,[1] upon the latter's conversion to a city.[5]

Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as Jayedar Rural District) was 10,727 in 2,227 households.[6] There were 10,388 inhabitants in 2,614 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 10,803 in 3,093 households. The most populous of its 40 villages was Sarab Hammam (now a city),[5] with 4,054 people.[2]
