Karol Jaziel Velázquez Mendoza (born 20 May 2005) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga de Expansión MX club Cruz Azul Hidalgo.

Youth career
Mendoza began his career in 2019 with the third-division team of Mineros de Zacatecas leaving the club in 2020. In June 2021, he was recruited by Cruz Azul's youth academy, where he progressed through the U-17, U-18, and U-23 teams.[1]
Club career
Mendoza made his senior debut for Cruz Azul on 11 February 2025 in the CONCACAF Champions Cup against Haitian side Real Hope FA.[1] He was part of the squad that went on to win the tournament. On 16 August 2025, Mendoza made his Liga MX debut, starting in a match against Santos Laguna.[2]
International career
In 2025, Mendoza was called up by coach Eduardo Arce to represent Mexico at the Maurice Revello Tournament[3] and was subsequently selected for the squad for the FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Chile.[4]
