Jean-Michel Kibushi Ndjate Wooto (born 1957), is a Congolese stop-motion animator.[1][2] He is the pioneer of African animation, and widely considered to be the first Congolese animator.[3][4]

He was born on 1957 in Lubefu, Democratic Republic of the Congo.[2] He later grew up in Tshumbe, Zaire.[5]
