Jim Kerr (bowls)

Kerr was a member of the Merchiston Edinburgh Bowling Club^[1] and was part of the Merchiston Edinburgh pair^[2] with David Smart, that won the District finals^[3] to qualify for the 1956 Scottish National Bowls Championships, where they then won the national pairs title.^[4][5][6]

He represented the 1958 Scottish team^[7][8] at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff, Wales,^[9] where he participated in the pairs event,^[10] again with David Smart.^[11]

In 1961, Kerr was still actively playing bowls and represented Edinburgh and Leith at regional level.^[12]
