James Marshall Shuler (born December 31, 1943) is a retired American politician. He served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1994 to 2012, representing the 12th district in the western part of the state. Shuler is a member of the Democratic Party.[1]

Shuler served on the House committees on Agriculture (19942001), Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources (20022011), Corporations, Insurance and Banking (19942001), Education (20042011), Labor and Commerce (19941997), Militia, Police and Public Safety (20022011), Mining and Mineral Resources (19942001), and Science and Technology (19982001).[2]

Shuler was born in Rockingham County, Virginia. He received a B.S. degree from Virginia Tech in 1966 and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Georgia in 1970.[1]
