Joanna Quassa is a Canadian Inuk politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut in the 2021 Nunavut general election.[3] She represented the electoral district of Aggu.
She is the sister-in-law of her predecessor Paul Quassa,[4] and previously served as mayor of Igloolik.[5]
She ran for election to the assembly in the 2025 election and received the largest number of votes in the Aggu electoral district but with less than 2 per cent difference between her and Erasmus Ivvalu, triggering a judicial recount.[1] As the final result was tied, a by-election was held on December 15, 2025; she lost it to Edward Attagutaluk, placing second.[6]
