Joe Travis Gibson Jr. (October 4, 1938 – October 11, 2024) was an American politician in the state of Texas.[1] He served as a member of the Waco City Council from 1974 to 1978 and as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing the Waco-based District 35B from 1979 to 1981.[1] He lost renomination in 1980.[2] A lawyer and real estate agent, he died in Clifton, Texas on October 11, 2024, at the age of 86.[1]
