Joe Kowalewski (born November 15, 1982) is an American former professional football player who was a fullback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Syracuse Orange and was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2006.
Kowalewski was also a member of the Miami Dolphins.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Kowalewski attended Solvay High School. In high school, he rushed for 1,114 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior, and excelled on both sides of the ball.[1]
College career
While at Syracuse University, Kowalewski moved from defensive end to linebacker prior to the 2002 Spring practice, and to tight end before the beginning of the 2002 season. He totaled 33 receptions for 441 yards and three touchdowns during his collegiate career, while also achieving success academically. He graduated with a degree in retail and consumer studies.[2]
