Johanan (exilarch)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johanan was a Jewish exilarch of the 2nd century AD[1] who succeeded his brother Nahum,[2] according to the Seder Olam Zutta. He is either the son or a descendant of Akkub,[3] although more likely, he is the son of Ahijah.[4] The date of his tenure is disputed.[5]
