John Shannon is an American former football long snapper who played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Shannon attended Loyola Academy in Illinois and was one of 15 finalists for the Chris Rubio award, given to the nation's top long snapper in high school. He was part of the 2015 team that went 14–0 and won the state championship. He was the number one long snapper recruit by 247Sports.com and Scout.com.[1]
