It comprises portions of Natrampalli taluk, Vaniyambadi and Tirupattur taluks and is a part of Tiruvannamalai Lok Sabha constituency for national elections.[2] It is one of the 234 State Legislative Assembly Constituencies in Tamil Nadu in India.
