Jonovan Smith (born February 19, 2001) is a Puerto Rican freestyle wrestler who competes in the 125 kg category.[1]

Career

Jonovan Smith represented Puerto Rico at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, finishing 14th in the men's freestyle 125 kg event. Smith placed 16th at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships.[2]

Smith won a silver medal at the 2024 Pan American Wrestling Championships in Acapulco and another silver at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador. He also claimed a bronze medal at the 2024 Pan American U23 Wrestling Championships in Rionegro.[3] Smith finished fifth at the 2023 Pan American Games.

He wrestled for Birmingham Community Charter High School in California[4] and Cerritos College in Norwalk, California.[5]
