Jovan Ivanišević (Croatian: Ivanišević; born 19 January 2005) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a centre-back for Bosnian Premier League club Sarajevo.

Club career
Youth and early career
Ivanišević attended elementary school at Blessed Kateri Catholic Elementary School and high school at Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School.
Ivanišević is a product of the youth academies Alliance FC London and Toronto FC in Canada.[3] He made his professional debut with Toronto FC II in a 3–2 MLS Next Pro loss to Orlando City B on 1 May 2023.[4] In the summer of 2023, he moved to the Croatian Football League club Istra 1961 on trial, as part of the club's efforts scouting players of Croatian descent. On 7 May 2024, Ivanišević signed a professional contract with Istra until 2026.[5] In November 2024, he again extended his contract with Istra until 2029.[6]
On 21 January 2025, Serie A side Bologna confirmed the signing of Ivanišević on loan with an option to buy. He was assigned to their U20 side.[7]
Sarajevo
In February 2026, Ivanišević was loaned to Bosnian Premier League club Sarajevo through the end of 2026.[8] He made his debut on February 15, starting and playing the full match in a 1–0 victory against FK Sloga Doboj.[9] In August 2026, Sarajevo executed a buy option on Ivanisevic, signing him permanently to the club.[10]
International career
Born in Canada, Ivanišević is of Croatian descent.[11]
Youth
In June 2024, Ivanišević was called up to the Canada U20 national team for a set of friendlies in preparation for the 2024 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.[12]
Senior
In February 2025, Ivanišević was named to the Canada provisional roster list for the 2025 CONCACAF Nations League Finals.[13] In September 2026, he received his first senior call-up ahead of friendlies against Chile, Peru, and the United States.[14]
