João Bettencourt Brito (born August 31, 2001) is a Portuguese actor.

João Bettencourt Brito was born in Lisbon on August 31, 2001.

His first acting job was in 2013, in the film As Ondas de Abril. He completed a 5-month intensive course in acting for theatre, television and film at the Academia do Mundo das Artes in Lisbon. After completing the course, he did some extra work in soap operas and later joined the TVI soap operas - Prisioneira and Na Corda Bamba, in 2019, with special appearances. He joined the Blast agency, where he received an invitation to do an advertisement for Garnier, later moving to the Klip Agency, where he auditioned for a Telepizza advertisement.[1]

In 2021, he joined the SIC soap opera, Amor Amor, which was the actor's first project in a main cast. Since then, he has appeared in several series and soap operas such as Quero É Viver (TVI), Lúcia, a Guardiã do Segredo (SIC), Papel Principal (SIC) and Codex 632 (RTP1).[2]

In 2023, he played his first leading role, Ivo Pinto, in the SIC youth series Os Eleitos, available on the channel's streaming platform, OPTO.[3]

He starred in the film Revolução sem sangue (2024), as part of the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the April 25, 1974 Revolution.[4]
