Kripal Chandra Yadav (11 October 1936 27 May 2021)[2] was an Indian historian of modern and colonial Indian history.

In 1974, Yadav was elected a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland (FRAS).[3] From 1980 to 1981, he was a visiting professor at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in Japan.[4] Coming from Haryana, Yadav had particular interest in the region. He was the founder and editor of the Journal of Haryana Studies,[5] and the founding director of the Haryana Academy of History and Culture where he held office until November 2014.[6] He was part of the United Service Institution's project India and the Great War 1914-18.[7]
