History
KURM was established on November 9, 1979 by owner Kermit Womack. It ceased operations on July 1, 2024 at 5:15 pm.[2] The final song played on KURM-AM on that day was Give the World a Smile by Cathedral Quartet.
The KURM-AM license was assigned to Lykins Broadcasting, LLC, on January 30, 2026[3] with local broadcast operations resuming on July 28, 2026.[4]
