Kafr Maris

Kafr Maris (Arabic: كفر مارس) is a Syrian village located in Kafr Takharim Nahiyah in Harem District, Idlib. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kafr Maris had a population of 350 in the 2004 census.[1] It is a Druze village of the Jabal al-Sumaq region.[2] On 21 October 2025, several residents were killed and others wounded when a unidentified gunman on a motorbike opened fire on a bus near the village.[3]
