Kasharsky District

Kasharsky District (Russian: Каша́рский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,112 square kilometers (1,202 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a sloboda) of Kashary.[1] Population: 25,355 (2010 Census);[3] 27,424 (2002 census);[6] 29,712 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Kashary accounts for 25.8% of the district's total population.[3]
