Lindsay Clancy Trial
The 2026 (currently ongoing) criminal trial of Lindsay Clancy surround an alleged incident of a young mother killing her three young children and attempting suicide in the Massachusetts town of Duxbury in 2023 due to maternal postpartum psychosis following the birth of her third child.[5]
Reddington's defense has raised numerous concerns with the State of Massachusetts' prosecution case against Clancy, including inadequate crime scene investigation, medical witnesses with limited or contradictory knowledge of the medical matters raised, and a case heavily reliant on her husband, Patrick Clancy's, solo attestations to local police at the crime scene.[6][7]
The case has drawn widespread national attention for it's focus on the challenges of maternal postpartum care, postpartum psychosis, and psychiatric clinical care management, given Lindsay Clancy repeatedly personally sought medical care for her symptoms leading up to the incident,[8] and was prescribed 13 different psychiatric medications[9] in the weeks and months leading up to the tragedy.
The case has also drawn intense conspiracy and scrutiny around her husband Patrick Clancy, as the State's case heavily relies on his solo testimony to police of the crime scene and incident timeline, given Lindsay Clancy was incapacitated and unable to speak for days due to her injuries including a crushed throat.[10][11][12][13][14]
