Franco Alemán (born June 26, 2000) is a Cuban professional baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Alemán was born in Cuba and defected to the United States with his family when he was 11.[1] He attended Braulio Alonso High School in Tampa, Florida. He was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 38th round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign. Alemán started his college baseball career at Florida International University (FIU) for a year before transferring to St. Johns River State College and then the University of Florida.[2] In 2019, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[3]

After one year at Florida, Alemán was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 10th round of the 2021 MLB draft, and signed.[4] He made his professional debut in 2022 with the Lynchburg Hillcats. He pitched 2023 with the Lake County Captains and Akron RubberDucks.

Alemán spent 2024 with the Triple–A Columbus Clippers, making 24 appearances and logging a 1.99 ERA with 34 strikeouts and 2 saves across 22+23 innings pitched.[5] On November 19, 2024, the Guardians added Alemán to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.[6] On February 27, 2025, Alemán was ruled out for 4–6 weeks after undergoing surgery for a left hip inguinal hernia.[7]

Juan Manuel Brito (born September 24, 2001) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Brito was signed by the Colorado Rockies as an international free agent on July 7, 2018. He made his professional debut in 2019 with the Dominican Summer League Rockies, hitting .328 with three home runs and 26 RBI in 35 games. Brito did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.[8]

On November 15, 2022, the Rockies traded him to the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for Nolan Jones; the same day, the Guardians added Brito to their 40-man roster to protect him from selection by another club in the 2022 Rule 5 draft.[9] Brito was optioned to the Triple-A Columbus Clippers to begin the 2023 season.[10] In 127 games split between Columbus, the Double–A Akron RubberDucks, and High–A Lake County Captains, he batted a cumulative .271/.377/.434 with 14 home runs and 75 RBI.

Brito was again optioned to Triple–A Columbus to begin the 2024 season.[11] In 144 appearances for Columbus, he slashed .256/.365/.443 with 21 home runs, 84 RBI, and 13 stolen bases.

Brito was once more optioned to Triple-A Columbus to begin the 2025 season.[12] On April 25, 2025, Brito was ruled out for 8-to-12 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a high-grade ligament sprain in his right thumb.[13] Upon returning to Columbus, he slashed .256/.357/.463 with three home runs, 15 RBI, and four stolen bases across 24 appearances. On September 12, it was announced that Brito would require surgery to repair a damaged left hamstring; with a recovery timeline of 8-to-12 weeks, the procedure ended his season.[14]

Juneiker Jose Caceres (born August 15, 2007) is a Venezuelan professional baseball outfielder in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Caceres signed with the Cleveland Guardians as an international free agent on January 15, 2024.[15] He made his professional debut that year with the Dominican Summer League Guardians.

Caceres started 2024 with the Arizona Complex League Guardians. After hitting .289/.419/.888 in 40 games, Caceres was promoted to the Lynchburg Hillcats on July 28, 2025.[16] In 30 games with the Hillcats, Caceres hit .250/.331/.676, in addition to winning the 2025 Carolina League Championship.[17]

Jaison Oneel Chourio (born May 19, 2005) is a Venezuelan professional baseball outfielder in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Chourio signed with the Cleveland Guardians as an international free agent in January 2022.[18] He made his professional debut that year with the Dominican Summer League Guardians.[19]

Chourio spent 2023 with the Arizona Complex League Guardians and Lynchburg Hillcats.[20]

His brother, Jackson Chourio, plays for the Milwaukee Brewers.[21]

Jacob Hayes Cozart (born January 9, 2003) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Cozart grew up in High Point, North Carolina and attended Wesleyan Christian Academy.[22]

Cozart became the starting catcher for the NC State Wolfpack baseball during his freshman season and batted .240.[23] He was named second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as a sophomore after batting .301 with 10 home runs, 14 doubles, and 42 RBIs.[24] He was named first-team All-ACC after batting .305 with 19 home runs as a junior.[25] In 2022, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[26]

Cozart was selected by the Cleveland Guardians in the second round of 2024 Major League Baseball draft.[27]

Cozart's father, Craig Cozart, is a college baseball coach and served as the head coach of the High Point Panthers from 2009 to 2021.[28] Cozart was assigned to the Arizona Complex League Guardians roster on August 5, 2024, and subsequently promoted to the High-A Lake County Captains on August 12, 2024.

Aaron Ross Davenport (born July 25, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Davenport attended Cedarcrest High School in Duvall, Washington, and played college baseball at the University of Hawaiʻi.[29] In 2019, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League, and in 2021 he returned to the league with the Chatham Anglers.[30][31] He was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the sixth round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft.[32] He signed for $450,000.[33]

Davenport split his first professional season between the Arizona Complex League Indians and Lynchburg Hillcats, posting a 3.24 ERA over 16+23 innings. He was assigned to the Lake County Captains for the 2022 season and started 23 games, going 7–6 with a 4.21 ERA and 118 strikeouts over 107 innings.[34][35] Davenport returned to Lake County for the 2023 season, pitching to a 6–10 record and 5.73 ERA across 24 games (19 starts).[36] He spent the 2024 season with the Akron RubberDucks, starting 26 games and going 7–4 with a 2.85 ERA over 142+13 innings.[37] Davenport returned to Akron to open the 2025 season and was promoted to the Columbus Clippers in mid-May.[38] Over 28 games (24 starts) between the two teams, he went 7-7 with a 4.44 ERA and 117 strikeouts over 133+23 innings.[39]

William Chad Dion (born April 17, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Dion attended Sulphur High School in Sulphur, Louisiana, and played college baseball at McNeese State University.[40] As a junior at McNeese State in 2021, he started 16 games and went 9–4 with a 3.07 ERA and a school-record 121 strikeouts.[41] After his junior year, Dion was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the ninth round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft.[42]

Dion signed with Cleveland and made his professional debut with the Arizona League Indians and the Lynchburg Hillcats, throwing 12 scoreless innings between both teams. Dion played the 2022 season with Lynchburg and Lake County Captains.[43][44] Over 25 starts, he went 8–5 with a 2.11 ERA and 157 strikeouts over 128 innings.[45][46] He opened the 2023 season with Lake County and was promoted to the Akron RubberDucks in mid-July. Over 26 games (19 starts) between the two teams, Dion went 6–4 with a 2.39 ERA and 129 strikeouts over 116+23 innings.[47] Dion was assigned to the Columbus Clippers for the 2024 season.[48] Over 27 starts, Dion went 4–4 with a 5.48 ERA and 116 strikeouts.[49] He returned to Columbus for the 2025 season.[50] Over 31 appearances (13 starts), Dion went 4-8 with a 4.09 ERA and 96 strikeouts over 99 innings.[51]

Jacob Gage Fox (born February 12, 2003) is an American professional baseball second baseman and outfielder in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Fox grew up in Lakeland, Florida and attended Lakeland Christian School.[52] He hit .378, with three home runs, 22 RBIs, and 32 stolen bases in 28 games played as a senior.[53] Fox had committed to play college baseball at Florida prior to signing with Cleveland.[54]

Fox was selected in the third round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft by the Cleveland Indians.[55] After signing with the team he was assigned to the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League Indians, where he batted .405 in 13 games played.[56]

Francisca signed with the Cleveland Guardians as an international free agent on January 15, 2023.[57] He made his professional debut that year with the Dominican Summer League Guardians.

Francisca was called up to the Arizona Complex League Guardians on May 3, 2024. After a brief stint in Arizona, Francisca was called up to the Lynchburg Hillcats on July 29, 2024.[58] With 117 at bats in Lynchburg, Francisca hit a .325/.402/.804 stat line.

Ángel Luis Genao (born May 19, 2004) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Genao signed with the Cleveland Guardians as an international free agent on January 15, 2021.[60] He made his professional debut that year with the Dominican Summer League Guardians.

Genao spent 2022 with the Arizona Complex League Guardians and Lynchburg Hillcats. In 2023, he remained with the Hillcats for the full season.[61]

On June 3, 2024, Genao was promoted to the High-A Lake County Captains.[62] Genao was part of Lake County's first Midwest League Champion team since 2010.[63]

Genao played primarily for the Double-A Akron RubberDucks, slashing .259/.323/.359 with two home runs, 37 RBI, and six stolen bases across 77 games. On November 18, 2025, the Guardians added Genao to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.[64]

Michael Patrick Kennedy (born November 30, 2004) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Kennedy graduated from Troy High School in Troy, New York, in 2022.[73] The Pittsburgh Pirates selected him in the fourth round of the 2022 MLB draft.[74]

On December 10, 2024, the Pirates traded Kennedy, Luis Ortiz, and Josh Hartle to the Cleveland Guardians for Spencer Horwitz.[75]

Jack Harrison Leftwich (born September 26, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Leftwich attended TNXL Academy in Altamonte Springs, Florida and was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 39th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. He did not sign with the Tigers and played college baseball at the University of Florida. In 2019, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[76] After four years at Florida, Leftwich was drafted by the Cleveland Guardians in the seventh round of the 2021 MLB draft, and signed.[77]

Leftwich made his professional debut in 2022 with the Lynchburg Hillcats and was promoted to the Lake County Captains.[78] He started 2023 with Akron RubberDucks.

Alexander Joseph Mooney (born July 6, 2002) is an American professional baseball shortstop in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Mooney attended St. Mary's Preparatory in Orchard Lake Village, Michigan. As a senior in 2021, he batted .460 with nine home runs and 57 RBIs over 44 games.[79] He was named Mr. Baseball.[80] He enrolled at Duke University where he played two seasons of college baseball. He played in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Falmouth Commodores in 2022 and was named a league all-star.[81][82] After his sophomore season at Duke in 2023, Mooney was selected by the Cleveland Guardians in the seventh round of the 2023 Major League Baseball draft.[83] He signed with the team for $1 million.[84]

Mooney made his professional debut with the Lynchburg Hillcats, batting .152 over 17 games.[85] He was assigned to the Lake County Captains for the 2024 season. Over 105 games, he hit .235 with 12 home runs, 55 RBIs, and 43 stolen bases.[86] In 2025, Mooney played with the Akron RubberDucks with whom he hit .200 with four home runs, 37 RBIs, and 25 stolen bases over 115 games.[87]

Austin Lee Peterson (born September 19, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Peterson attended Chesterton High School in Chesterton, Indiana, and played college baseball at Purdue University and the University of Connecticut. Peterson played 2024 with the High-A Lake County Captains and Double-A Akron RubberDucks and started 2025 with Akron.[89][90] He made 28 appearances (26 starts) between Akron and the Triple-A Columbus Clippers, accumulating an 8-6 record and 3.21 ERA with 127 strikeouts across 145+23 innings pitched. Alfonsin Rosario (born June 21, 2004) is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Rosario was born in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when he was 16.[92] He attended P27 Academy in Lexington, South Carolina. He was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the sixth round of the 2023 Major League Baseball draft.[93]

Rosario made his professional debut with the Arizona Complex League Cubs and played 2024 with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. On November 20, 2024, the Cubs traded him to the Cleveland Guardians for Eli Morgan.[94] He opened the 2025 season with the Lake County Captains and Akron RubberDucks.[95]

Michael Khalden Stephen (born December 21, 2002) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization.

Stephen attended Seeger Memorial Junior-Senior High School in West Lebanon, Indiana and played college baseball at Purdue University for two years before transferring to Mississippi State University.[96][97] In 2023, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[98] After one year at Mississippi State, he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round of the 2024 Major League Baseball draft.[99][100]

Stephen made his professional debut in 2025 with the Dunedin Blue Jays and was promoted to the Vancouver Canadians and New Hampshire Fisher Cats during the season.[101]

On July 31, 2025, the Blue Jays traded him to the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for Shane Bieber.[102]

Matthew James Wilkinson (born December 10, 2002) is a Canadian professional baseball pitcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization. His nickname is Tugboat.

Wilkinson attended Foothills Composite High School in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada and played college baseball at Central Arizona College. In 2023, he was named the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) D1 Pitcher of the Year after recording a 1.07 earned run average (ERA) with 138 strikeouts in 84 innings.[103] In 2023, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[104] Wilkinson was selected by the Cleveland Guardians in the 10th round of the 2023 Major League Baseball draft.[105] He signed with the Guardians instead of playing college baseball at Arizona State University.[106]

Wilkinson made his professional debut with the Arizona Complex League Guardians. He began the 2024 season with the Single-A Lynchburg Hillcats.[107][108] Wilkinson was promoted to the High-A Lake County Captains on May 21, 2024.
