Khandker Masudul Alam (born 15 June 1972) is a Bangladeshi career diplomat and the incumbent ambassador of Bangladesh to Belgium, Luxembourg and European Union since March 2025.[1] He served as the Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.[2] He was the Director General (North America) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[3]
Alam was born on 15 June 1972.[4] He completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 1997.[4] He completed an MBA in Finance at the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, in 2002.[4] Alam later earned a Master of Arts in International Relations from Hiroshima University in Japan in 2008.[4] He also underwent intensive Japanese language training at Hiroshima University between 2005 and 2006, complementing his academic and diplomatic capabilities.[4]
