Kirby and the World Beyond[a] is an upcoming video game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled to launch in Spring 2027. It will be the fourteenth mainline Kirby game and the second 3D Kirby game after Kirby and the Forgotten Land.[1][2] The game was revealed in a Nintendo Direct on September 9, 2026. It is anticipated to expand on the 3D formula used in Forgotten Land and will likely be the first sandbox game in the series. Based on the Direct footage, some journalists compared it to the 1998 film The Truman Show.[3][4][5][6]
