Kolpnyansky District

Kolpnyansky District (Russian: Ко́лпнянский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,176.7 square kilometers (454.3 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Kolpna.[1] Population: 15,453 (2010 Census);[3] 18,970 (2002 census);[7] 22,406 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Kolpna accounts for 42.8% of the district's total population.[3]
