Krasnozorensky District

Krasnozorensky District (Russian: Краснозоренский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 650.0 square kilometers (251.0 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Krasnaya Zarya.[1] Population: 6,504 (2010 Census);[3] 8,610 (2002 census);[6] 9,344 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Krasnaya Zarya accounts for 24.1% of the district's total population.[3]
