Early life

Waldron began his online career creating content about Minecraft, a game he enjoyed after watching popular creators during his childhood. He derived the name "KreekCraft" from a randomly generated character name, "Kreek," in World of Warcraft, later adding "-Craft" when he began playing Minecraft.[2] He initially began creating YouTube videos to practice video editing and learn software skills, which he believed would help him pursue a career in game development.[3]

Career

YouTube beginnings (2014-2016)

Waldron created the KreekCraft YouTube channel on April 9, 2014, beginning by uploading miscellaneous Minecraft gameplay videos, inspired by other popular creators.[2]

Waldron developed an interest in taking YouTube more seriously, and expanded to streaming. In an interview with Tubefilter he described his early approach as experimental, stating that "one day I got bored and decided to try streaming," and that audience interaction quickly became a key part of his content.[3]

Waldron explained that his transition from Minecraft to Roblox was suggested by viewers, recalling that the first game he streamed on the platform was 'Phantom Forces', a shooter game he connected to growing up with games such as Call of Duty, noting the immediate jump in audience engagement.[3]

Roblox growth and Jailbreak (2017-2020)

Waldron's audience grew substantially after he began covering the Roblox game Jailbreak from its release in 2017. He produced regular gameplay videos and livestreams of the game through 2020.[citation needed] By mid-2023, the channel had surpassed 8 million subscribers, with an average of 25,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch.[citation needed]

Piggy, DOORS, and content expansion (2020-present)

After scaling back Jailbreak content, Waldron focused on Piggy, a Roblox horror game, producing gameplay and lore commentary. He added DOORS to his regular rotation after discovering the game in August 2022.[citation needed] By 2024, his content had shifted further toward Roblox news coverage and platform commentary alongside gameplay livestreams.[citation needed]

In April 2023, Waldron collaborated with English recording artist Rick Astley to play Roblox as part of a Comic Relief USA charity event.[4][5][6]

Pixel Playground (2023-2024)

In April 2023, Waldron partnered with Karl Jacobs and Misfit Gaming to launch Pixel Playgrounds, a channel designed to showcase Roblox gameplay and related content. [7] In August 2023, the studio released its first game, Gameshow.[8]. That same month, he also signed with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for professional representation. [9] In October of that year, Waldron, Jacobs, and fellow creator AustinShow had multi-city live shows in Miami, Houston, and Long Beach across October 7 to November 11. The Pixel Playgrounds day shows included meet-and-greet events and elusive merchandise, while the night shows featured 70s-style game shows with a live version of Name Your Price.[10] In May 2024, Waldron transitioned to the United Talent Agency (UTA), and is currently represented by Ellify 360.[11] However, Waldron announced in September 2024 that due to creative differences he would be leaving Pixel Playgrounds. COPPA advocacy

In late 2019, Waldron participated in discussions with TechFreedom regarding the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and its effects on YouTube creators and young audiences. He later appeared on C-SPAN during a live public panel on the subject.[12][13]

Platform issues

In July 2022, Waldron publicly addressed an exploit in the Roblox game Crossroads that was triggering automatic account bans. He reported using an alternative account to test the game and confirmed his account was banned as a result of the exploit.[14]

In 2025, The Times of India reported on Waldron’s public criticism of Roblox's handling of safety concerns, quoting him saying that "they're doing this because Roblox is failing."[15]
