Kristi Lamaj is an Albanian folk singer, songwriter and television personality. His work includes both pop music and traditional southern Albanian folk music.

Early life and education

Lamaj was born in Vlorë, Albania. He began studying music at the age of twelve, initially focusing on the trumpet, and later completed studies in classical singing at an artistic lyceum.[2]

He also studied law, with a focus on civil law and copyright.[3]

Career

Music

He later focused on traditional Albanian folk music, particularly southern polyphonic styles. His songs, including "O nëno zemëro" and "Ç'më ka marrë malli rëndë", have been distributed on digital platforms.[citation needed]

Television

In 2025, he participated as a housemate in the fifth season of Big Brother VIP Albania.[4]

In April 2026, he began co-hosting the television program Urban Gen ,broadcast on Top Channel, alongside Lei Kraja.[5]
