Kromskoy District

Kromskoy District (Russian: Кромской райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 969 square kilometers (374 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Kromy.[1] Population: 21,346 (2010 Census);[2] 24,400 (2002 census);[6] 24,825 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Kromy accounts for 31.5% of the district's total population.[2]
