Lauren Hargrove (born March 4, 2003) is an American soccer player from Richmond, Virginia playing for the USL W League team Richmond Ivy.

Career
Douglas Freeman High School 2017-2021
Hargove was a four year starter for Douglas Freeman High School where she helped lead the Mavericks to the 2018 VHSL Class 5 championship match and the 2019 semifinals.[1]
Richmond Strikers/United 2010-2020
From 2010 to 2015 she played for the Richmond Strikers before they were absorbed into the Richmond United umbrella.
During high school she also played for the Richmond United ECNL team. During their 2019 season she recorded 15 shutouts during 20 matches. During this time she was also part of the Olympic Development Program, getting a call up in 2016.[2][1]
Virginia Tech 2021-2026
She played college soccer at Virginia Tech where she recorded a record of 26-23-9 with 18 clean sheets over four seasons. She is only the fourth goalkeeper in VA Tech history to record 5,000 career minutes.
As a freshman she made her debut on August 26 against Elon starting the second half of that game and finishing a clean sheet.
In 2022, her sophomore season she recorded 9 wins against 7 losses and 2 draws with 6 shutouts. Her 57 saves ranked sevenths in the conference.
Hargrove did not play for the Hokies in 2023.
During the 2024 season she recorded 13 wins, most by a Virginia Tech goalie since 2015 enroute to helping her team to an Elite Eight appearance. She started all 23 games for the Hokies. Her nine solo shutouts was third amongst Atlantic Coast Conference goalkeepers.[3] [4]
In the 2025 season Hargrove went 4-10-4 starting all eighteen matches.
Richmond Ivy SC 2024-
Hargrove was one of the first players signed to the Ivy in 2024 and has played in all three seasons of the club.[5] Hargrove was the keeper in the Ivy's inaugural 2024 match, a 1-0 shutout over the Virginia Marauders.[6] On June 10, 2026 Hargrove played in her 21st match in USLW league play for the Ivy topping the team.[7]
