Laze (pronounced [ˈxɾaːstjɛ]; German: Lase[1]) is a formerly independent settlement in the southern part of Zgornja Besnica in central Slovenia. It is part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.[2]

Geography
Laze is a dispersed settlement at the outflow of Aslivka Creek into Besnica Creek and extending into the adjacent hills. In addition to the part that was incorporated into Zgornja Besnica, part of it is now the hamlet of Laze in the neighboring settlement of Ravno Brdo.[3]
