Leon Wofsy (November 21, 1921 – August 25, 2019) was an American biochemist, activist, and educator. He was the department chair and professor emeritus of Immunology in the Department of Bacteriology and Immunology at University of California, Berkeley.
Wofsy was born in Stamford, Connecticut, on November 21, 1921.[1]
In 1942 he graduated from City College of New York
In September 1943, after graduation he was drafted into the US Army.[2]
