Liliana Ayalde (born March 1956) is an American diplomat. She is the former United States Ambassador to Brazil and was previously the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for the United States State Department with responsibility for the Offices of Caribbean Affairs, Central American Affairs and Cuban Affairs. From January 2017 to September 2019 she served as the Civilian Deputy to the Commander and Foreign Policy Advisor for the United States Southern Command.[2]

Ayalde earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of International Service at American University and a Master's in Public Health from Tulane University.[3]
