History

The station was the southern terminus of the E Line from its opening until the completion of the FasTracks Southeast Light Rail Extension project, and is the regular southern terminus of the R Line.[6] R Line service briefly continued to RidgeGate Parkway following the completion of the Southeast Light Rail Extension Project, but was cut back to Lincoln in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This service pattern has persisted since the pandemic due to low demand south of Lincoln, as the area is still largely undeveloped.

As of September 2026, R Line service to RidgeGate Parkway has been temporarily restored as a part of service changes accommodating the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project.[7] R Line service will be truncated back to Lincoln when the project is complete.
